Hello everyone,

Its been waaaayyy too long since I posted anything here. Apologises for the absence and any missed emails or queries you might have sent me. Life got a bit too busy there for a moment and in all the chaos that ensued, the blog kind of took a backseat.

But now I’m back, hoping to be more consistent as I have sooooo many patterns and tutorials that I want to share with all you amazing crafters out there.

And what better pattern to start with than the much promised and awaited Zoe Crochet Flower tutorial.

This is a super super easy pattern that consists only of 2 rounds!! So get your leftover yarns out and get making!!

Materials

Any yarn and a hook corresponding to the yarn size (I have used 10ply cotton yarn Paris by Drops Design and a 5mm hook for the flowers here)

A pair of scissors

A darning needle

 

US Abbreviations                                                      

st – stitch

sl st – slip stitch

ch- chain

sc – single crochet

tr – treble crochet

Pattern & Tutorial

Round 1

Make 8 sc’s  in the magic circle.

Planet June By June is a great blog for this tutorial. This link will take you to right-handed
instructions. On the top of the tutorial, you’ll find links to the left-handed instructions and the video tutorial.

Break yarn and weave in the end.

Round 2

Join a new yarn with a sl st in any sc from round 1.

Ch 4. Make 3 tr in the same. Ch 4 and join with a sl st in the same st.

Continue making the same petal (Ch 4, 3 tr, ch 4, sl st) in the next 7 sc’s from round 1.

Finish the last petal by making a sl st in the same sc as the petal you just made. Break yarn and weave in the ends.

I have clearly not woven them in the pic below! 🙂

And Voila! Your cute little Zoe crochet flower is ready!

Now go ahead and make as many as you like.

These can be used as a brooch or a fridge magnet or Xmas tree ornament or as an embellishment to pretty much anything the mind can think of.
