Starflower Snowflake pattern & tutorial

Hello everyone,

I made this snowflake pattern about 2 years ago around Christmas and kept promising myself and all you lovely people that I would write it down soon. This Christmas (finally!!) I present to you the Starflower Snowflake pattern. The pattern, like most of my other patterns you’ll find on this blog, is a quick 3 round design which can be made using absolutely any yarn of your size. I have made this using a 4ply yarn, 10 ply yarn and even fabric yarn and they look equally cute and festive.

I made the snowflakes below and on the tree using the Yarn & Colours Must have yarn and a 4 mm hook.

I have not blocked them but I feel a bit of starch and ironing will make them stiffer and more Christmas tree ready, if that’s the look you like. I liked the more organic feel it gave my op-shop tree below so didn’t bother!! (and also I was being lazy….shhh dont tell anyone!!! :D)

Starflower Snowflake

I hope you all enjoy making these snowflakes and adorning your trees with them or anything else that feels a little festive cheer this time of the year!!!

If you share your makes on Instagram, then please do tag them using the #starflowersnowflake or #knitpurlhook tag so I can have a look at them.

Here’s to a fun filled festive season and Happy Holidays!! 🙂

And, thank you so much for stopping by.
